Conference Playoffs Picks Updates

Doggone, I can’t remember the scores from the games this weekend!  I know who won though and the Superbowl is going to be awesome.  I heard on TV that there haven’t been 2 #1 seeds in the Superbowl since 1993.

And what a big deal for the Saints!  First time in franchise history!  So a big congratulations to them!  Way to go, guys!

Congratulations to the Colts too.  2nd time in, what, 4 years?  So that’s pretty special too.

Conference Playoffs Picks

Well, it’s the last of the playoff games of the season.  After Sunday, it’s waiting for the Superbowl.  I have felt, for several weeks now, that it would be the Saints – Colts in the big dance, and I still feel that way going into this final countdown.  Last week the games I thought would be nail-biters ended up being lopsided massacres and I was wrong more than I was right.  But this week – this week I think I’m going to nail it 100%.  On the plus side.

Divisional Playoffs Picks Updates

You know, I fretted a great deal shortly before the Cardinals – Saints game on Saturday.  I almost changed my pick to the Cardinals.  I decided not to, but I realize now I probably should have, just so I could have the distinction of being 100%.

WRONG.

On every. single. pick.  AAARRRRGGGGHHH!

Maybe I’ll hit that magic 100% next week, eh?  There’s always hope.

Divisional Playoffs

This is when footballs gets really exciting, because teams pull out all the stops to win.  I know a lot of people are looking at me funny for picking the Ravens over the Colts, but here's why.  The Colts don’t seem to do very well after a bye in the playoffs.  It’s not their strength.  They just seem to wilt after too much rest.  So I think the Ravens are poised to take advantage of that.  These teams are like polar opposites – Ravens strong on the rush, Colts strong on the pass.  This game is going to be a nail biter, I think.  But in the end, I think the Ravens will prevail.  Perhaps not by much but in football, a win is a win and a loss goes home.

Cardinals – I love you guys, but I just don’t think you’ll be able to keep the Saints offense from winning.

I just think the Cowboys are a better team than the Vikings.  Sorry Bob

Same with the Jets and Chargers.

Wild Card Weekend Picks Updates

Congratulations to the Jets, Cowboys, Ravens, and Cardinals for winning the Wild Card round and advancing in the Playoffs.

Was that Cardinals – Green Bay game a nail biter or what?!

And at 50%, my stats suck.

Wild Card Weekend Picks

Oh it hurts me to write it, but after losing Wes for the play-offs, I just don’t know if we’ll have what it takes.  I’m gearing up for a loss, but oh how I’d so love to be wrong!

NFL Football Play-offs WK 3 Picks Updates

Congratulations to the Arizona Cardinals!

Congratulations to the Pittsburgh Steelers!

Looks like the home teams had the advantage in these Championship games this year.

Our thoughts and prayers also go to those players on the other 30 teams who aren’t going to the Superbowl this year.  We pray that those injured this season recover soon and fully, and are able to play next year.  We thank you for the hours and hours of entertainment.  We applaud your efforts and talent to play the game and play it well.  We salute you!

NFL Football Play-offs WK 3 2008 Picks

I know, I know, I went with the underdogs in both games.  I don’t know why.

I know DarcZombie and KreeStee will hate me, at least during game time.  And they’ll take the gloat factor and rub it in for the rest of my life if I’m wrong.  I’m willing to live with that.  :)  (And just an aside for the 2 of you, here’s a link to something I saw on PFT.  I only put the link here, so you can sort of know what us Pats fans went through last year.  Sucks when people spew things about your team!)

Last games before the Superbowl!  Soak it up!  It’s going to be a long off-season.

NFL Football Play-offs WK 2 2008 Picks Updates

UPDATES: Well, the Titans are out!  And don’t I look like the genius I’m not!  LOL  Congratulation Ravens, and to Joe Flacco for being the 1st rookie quarterback to win 2 play-off games.  :)

UPDATES: Wow!  The Cardinals came to win!  Congratulations to the team, for the 1st time ever in the play-offs as the Arizona Cardinals.  Way to go!  And my sincerest apologies to Jake Del Homme.  I’m sorry your birthday sucked so bad.  Honest.

UPDATES: Last night, Saturday, before going to bed I told my husband I should change my pick for one of today’s games.  “Which one?” he wanted to know.  “I just have a gut feeling about the Eagles, I think they’re going to beat the Giants.”  For whatever reason, I didn’t do it.  And I didn’t get around to it before the game started today.  So, I’m wrong on the pick, but so, so glad the Giants lost!  Congratulations Eagles!

UPDATES: Way to go Steelers!  Congratulations!

Well, yeah, I’ve dropped the ball this week, in more ways than one.  Here’s the scores from the games last week, as if you didn’t know already.  Sorry for being so late.  Yes, my stats sucked too, just 2/2.

NFL Football Play-offs WK 1 2008 Picks

Are we ready for some surprises?  These seem like such easy picks, so I’ll probably get them wrong.  Vikings and Cardinals fans don’t seem willing or able to buy play-off tickets to their games, despite the fact they’re home games, and at least for the Cardinals fans, it’s the first time in Arizona Cardinals history that the team is even going to the play-offs.  They’re giving the impression they don’t think their teams will win – who wants to go to a game when you’re confident your team will lose?  I know I wouldn’t.

I do believe the games will be challenging this weekend, though, and I think they’ll be pretty interesting.  Last year, no one expected the Giants to beat the Cowboys, or the Packers.  Or My Beloved Patriots.  *heavy sigh*  (No, I’m still not over it.)  Surprise, surprise.  So, Vikings and Cardinals fans, if you can manage it, go to the games and support your teams.  You just never know what might happen.  That’s why they play the games!
